Men's watches are the ultimate accessory. Speaking as a woman here, I can safely say that men who wear watches automatically grab my attention.

I think it has something to do with the fact that a man who has a watch on must be important: he has places to go, things to do, people to see. He seems more put together and important than the same version of himself sans timepiece.

Honestly. Watches are always a very important men’s accessory. Like other men’s accessories, though, the trends surrounding them tend to change over time.

For fall 2012, there are several ways to wear a men’s watch. Here are Sivani’s favorite tips for selecting and wearing men’s watches :

1. Try an aviator-style watch. These timepieces come with a variety of unique features including apparatus which can show the current time in several time zones at once.

Their clear faces and numbers make them a very nice fashion statement. Purchase one of these with a leather strap for a vintage vibe.

2. Go for gray. Silver watches with gray and silver features in several shades of the color are sexy and modern. This gray-gradient combination is absolutely urban and masculine. A silver watch with silver features is something you’ll want to flash on a date with potential.

3. Know how to wear casual watches. When choosing a watch for everyday wear, consider your wardrobe. If you tend to wear a lot of bright colors, select a watch that’s understated. Opposite goes for men with more muted wardrobes.

4. Keep formal men's watches simple. You are likely to re-wear your nicest suits. Make sure you have a watch that is classic and can stand the test of time.
